STUDIO PROFILE

Skica Studio is a mid-size practice with a professional, multi-fasceted and detailed approach to architecture and interior design, urban planning and development consulting. It started as a ‘one-man show’ in 1997 and since then has built a track record of well-selected projects in the field of office, commercial, residential and industrial design, as well as special-purpose buildings, urban and master planning.

To the clients Skica offers architecture therapy – focused on meeting their requirements and needs in the best design form, shape and style and solving the many challenges of the construction process.

Skica Studio has established successful cooperation with some of the best professionals on the Bulgarian market – engineers, investors, consultants, managers, brokers, etc. The company is following both local and international standards in concept development, building design and project management, providing a complex feasibility study of the project’s potential and architecture that matches client’s and market requirements.


Elitsa Panayotova

architect / owner

Elitsa is an architect of diversified design and consulting experience with more than 10 years of professional practice. A graduate of the University of Architecture, Construction and Geodesy, Sofia with a major in Urban Planning and Architecture, Elitsa took her second Master degree in Urban Planning and Housing from the University of Lincoln, Great Britain. Her professional career started in the mid 90’s with predominantly Urban and master-planning projects - Business Park Sofia; Sofia city centre (two award-winning competition entries); Black-sea and vacation/second-home resorts. Elitsa’s architecture design experience includes office, residential, industrial and commercial buildings among which – bld. #3, Business Park Sofia; the administrative buildings at Silistra and Lesovo Border control check-points; Shato RuKo winery, Yambol; Santa Sara winery, Goritsa; Black sea hotels. She has also worked as a consultant to a number of international investors and a project manager for some of the largest developments in Bulgaria.


Vesela Ancheva

administrative director

Vesela joined Skica Studio in 2011. Since then she applies her expertise in organisational management of real estate projects. Her past appointments include notary practice and positions in the management of Business Park Sofia (the biggest office space setting on the Balkan Peninsula) and Alpha Developments AD. For her higher education Vessela was trained in law. Currently she is responsible for the financial and administrative operations of the studio.


Kristina Kaninova

architect

Kristina is a project architect with 10-years experience in the field of mainly residential – individual houses and apartment buildings; resort hotels and recently – office and commercial buildings.

Her professional experience started with the reconstructions of some of the major hotels in the “Golden Sands” Black-sea resort (1997) and design of some of the first newly-constructed city hotels in Sofia (2000) to develop into residential projects in the main Bulgarian cities – Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna.


Georgi Grudlev

architect

Georgi is an architect graduated in 2001 at the University of Architecture, Construction and Geodesy, Sofia. He has been working mainly on residential and office buildings as well as appartment hotels ever since. Some of the most important projects he has worked on are: residential buildings, club house, maintenance and academy buildings at Pravets Golf Course; appartment hotels in “ Golden sands”; office and residential buildings in Sofia; University complex “Al Hosn” in Abu Dhabi.


Miryana Krasteva

Miryana excels both as a designer and a project manager. Her core competences include architecture design of mainly office, commercial and industrial buildings as well as site supervision of construction works.

Among the most important projects she has worked on are: Anglo-American School, Sofia; Production Plant for vehicle components in Rousse; Central Bus Station, Sofia; Diplomatic Mission Complex of Kuwait in Bulgaria; Lexus Center in Riyadh; recreational complex and Hotel Calea Victoria in Bucharest.
